Please could I request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.
All dates should start from and include the Sunday 8th February 2026:
1. Confirmation of the responsible Highway Authority for the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road including a map showing the boundaries/remits of the respective highways authorities.
2. The last 3 months of maintenance reports by Members of the Public or others for the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road. Please include any photos, videos or other information provided where possible.
3. Confirmation of the inspection frequency of the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road by National Highways.
4. The last 3 inspection reports by National Highways for the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road. Please include all photos taken as part of these inspections specifically of any defects identified.
5. The last three months of claims for damage, regardless of status, for striking a pothole on the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road. Anonymised incident data or count of reason for the claim and whether successful or unsuccessful would be sufficient.
6. Any job tickets, work orders, instructions given in the last three months regarding pot holes on the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road.
7. Details of any remedial works, control measures or warnings of the potholes on the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road and the details of the system of inspection to ensure that the measures remained in place and effective whilst awaiting repair. Provide details of what the measures were to mitigate the risk of pothole hazards and how they were checked.

2. The last 3 months of maintenance reports by Members of the Public or others for the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road. Please include any photos, videos or other information provided where possible.
Only our contractors submit maintenance reports to National Highways. Anyone is able to report a concern about the strategic road network (SRN) to our Customer Contact Centre who will then pass it to the appropriate team to action. For example, any concerns about potholes at this location would be passed to the Midlands Service Delivery team who would arrange for an inspection to take place.
3. Confirmation of the inspection frequency of the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road by National Highways.
The M6 junction 15 NB exit slip road forms part of our route 3 safety inspection which is carried out every 7 days.
4. The last 3 inspection reports by National Highways for the M6 North Jct 15 Exit Slip road. Please include all photos taken as part of these inspections specifically of any defects identified.

We have received 2 claims in total for damage caused by potholes at this location. Both claims are ongoing and have not reached a conclusion yet. Please see the attached PDF titled ‘Claims’.
