I need to know estimate costs against ACTUAL costs for the year 2024.

Please provide details which covers 2024 against original budget costs for infrastructure projects against final costs.

For example original budget to repair road, bridge etc against final costs once completed. For example budget cost for the repair of Ouse Bridge to the actual final cost, another example will be the A63 Castle Street, M1 from Workshop to Nottingham etc. We would like to know your estimated figures for budget when your sub-contractors quote for repairs / new building etc against final cost once completed?

Response

Our renewals schemes are planned and delivered on an annual, financial year basis. For financial year 2024/25 we planned £1,065m of renewals schemes, with an actual in-year cost of £884m; a difference of £181m or 14%. The £181m budget made available was used to deliver more schemes that were not in the original annual plan.
