Advice and Assistance

The Highways Agency was created as an executive agency of the Department for Transport on 30 March 1994. On 1 April 2015 the Highways Agency became Highways England, a new government owned company. On 19 August 2021 Highways England's name changed to National Highways.

We believe that the information you have requested for the period 1959 to March 2014 might be held by the Department of Transport. If you have not done so already you might wish to contact them at FOIAdvice@dft.gov.uk.
