Please confirm the most recent (n.b.) total costing and benefit figures National Highways was to use for its DCO application which were indeed very poor value for money.

In regard to the approximate total cost of the scheme. This is information we have already made available to the public.

On 03 September 2024 Lilian Greenwood MP, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Future of Roads, announced that the estimated capital cost of the A27 Arundel Bypass was £630m.

In regard to the benefits of the scheme. I can confirm that under section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, National Highways does not hold the information that you requested as National Highways had not completed the development and associated assurance of the scheme prior to cancellation.
