How much does it cost to Install and recover Operation Brock on the M20 in Kent I would like to know Total man hours spent and cost Cost of equipment Traffic cones, Cabins traffic lights etc. and any on going costs whilst brock is in place

Our Response:

In 2024, the cost to implement and remove the concrete barrier for Operation Brock was about £250,000 each time. Our cost to maintain and service the deployment with people, equipment etc. varied, but on average, was about £100,000 per week.

Operation Brock is a multi-agency operation being delivered with our Kent Resilience Forum partners, including Kent County Council and Kent Police. We do not hold any information on their costs.
