Request

Over recent years, depending who I talk to, I get different advice on your policy on removing non-offensive graffiti from the network. I would like to know if you have a specific written policy on this issue and if so may I see sight of it please?

Response

There is no dedicated policy for dealing with graffiti as it is included within the requirements of our standard GM701 Asset Delivery Asset Maintenance Requirements. This document is publicly available here.

Actions to remove graffiti are carried out under our Maintenance & Response Contracts ‘sweeping and cleaning’ requirements, where offensive graffiti is prioritised and having a requirement to be removed within 24 hours.
